The Small Water Jobs

Fix the Drip Before It Becomes a Flood

Most household plumbing headaches are not major — a worn faucet, a jammed disposal, a running toilet, a leaking supply line. They just need someone handy to fix them before they get worse.

These are exactly the jobs where calling a specialty plumber can feel like overkill, complete with a trip fee and a premium rate for twenty minutes of work. We handle the everyday water jobs quickly and fairly: swapping faucets and fixtures, replacing garbage disposals, repairing or rebuilding running toilets, and stopping the slow leaks under sinks and behind valves.

In Arizona, hard water is the quiet villain — it scales up aerators, shortens the life of valves and disposals, and leaves fixtures crusty and stiff. We fix the immediate problem and point out where mineral buildup is setting up the next one. We stay firmly within handyman plumbing scope, and if something calls for a licensed plumber — a repipe, a slab leak, gas, or anything permitted — we will tell you straight and point you to someone we trust.

Signs You Need It

Little Leaks, Big Consequences

Water damage is one of the most expensive problems a home can have, and it almost always starts small. Watch for these signs.

A Drip That Won’t Quit

A dripping faucet or supply line wastes gallons and, hidden in a cabinet, quietly rots the wood beneath.

A Creeping Water Bill

A running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons a day — a mysteriously high bill often traces straight to one.

Stiff or Crusty Valves

Hard-water scale seizes shut-offs and aerators. A valve you cannot turn is a problem in an emergency.

A Wobbly or Weak Fixture

A loose faucet base or a disposal that hums without spinning is telling you it is near the end.

Questions & Answers

Minor Plumbing FAQ

Common questions from homeowners about our minor plumbing work, scope, and how we price it.

We handle fixture-level work: faucets, disposals, toilets, valves, supply lines, and small leaks. Repiping, slab leaks, sewer lines, water heaters that require permits, and any gas work belong to a licensed plumber. If your job crosses that line we will tell you clearly and point you toward a specialist we trust rather than take on something out of scope.

Yes, this is one of our most common calls. We track the leak to its source — often a supply line, P-trap, or angle stop — and repair or replace the failed part. If the leak has already damaged the cabinet base, we can advise on that too as part of our general-repair work.

Either works. Many homeowners like to pick their own faucet or disposal for the look and features, and we will install what you have bought. If you prefer, we can source a quality fixture for you and itemize it. We will happily advise on what holds up well against Arizona hard water.

Hard water is the reason. The Valley’s mineral-heavy water scales up aerators, stiffens valves, and shortens the life of disposals and faucet cartridges. We clear buildup where we can and can suggest fixtures and simple habits that stand up better to it.

We can install standard filtered and RO faucet taps and connect the lines, and hook up refrigerator and ice-maker water lines. For a full under-sink RO system with specialized components, we will let you know if any part of it falls outside handyman scope.

We prioritize active leaks because water damage compounds fast. Call or text right away and, in the meantime, shut off the valve to that fixture or the main if needed. We serve the East Valley and Phoenix area locally, so we can usually respond quickly.
